On 2 August 2018, the Board of Directors called a Special General Meeting for 27 August 2018 at 7.00pm to propose a special resolution to amend the constitution.This will be the only business conducted at this meeting.
The purpose of approving a new Constitution is to bring our organisation more in line with best
practice governance arrangements. This work has been undertaken as part of our
commitment to the Children's Education and Care Assurance (the Regulatory Authority)
and will lift the required standards of leadership in relation to Baringa's
All families and staff are welcome to attend, however, under the existing constitution only financially current members of the Association will be entitled to vote. For this reason, it is important that families arrange to pay all outstanding fees before this time. 27 August 2018.
Under the existing constitution, only persons personally present will count towards quorum, and members must be present in person or by proxy to have their vote count.
Following the Special General Meeting, before the end of the year, the Board
will call an Annual General Meeting where parents will be asked to stand for
election to the Board. If you are interested in joining the Board, the Special
