Program

Monday 15 April - Botanic Gardens Picnic and Rainforest Walk (Excursion)

Join us for an exploration day at the Australian National Botanical Gardens.

We will journey through the Rainforest Gully and be on the lookout for native birds and reptiles at the Rock Gardens. Our explorers will also have a picnic at the Botanic Garden Lawns. In case of wet weather, please provide wet weather gear and umbrellas for the day as the excursion will still go ahead!

Tuesday 16 April - Canberra Reptile Zoo Hands-On Program (Incursion)

Our friends at the Canberra Reptile Zoo will be visiting Baringa for a hands-on program. This unforgettable reptile encounter includes getting up close and personal with a range of reptiles. Feel the strength of a crocodile’s tail, help feed the lizard his lunch or become friendly with snakes.

Wednesday 17 April - Canberra Martial Arts Academy (Excursion)

We visit the Canberra Martial Arts Academy for an energetic Kyokushin Karate experience. Get a taste for traditional Japanese martial arts to improve coordination, confidence, concentration, courtesy and never giving up!

We will learn techniques, stretches, breathing and fun group games.

Thursday 18 April - Emergency Services Visit (Incursion)

Listen out for those sirens at Emergency Services Day at Baringa! ACT Police

and Fire Services will be teaching about safety and what to do in an emergency. The children will ride on emergency vehicles, try on safety equipment and

learn about what emergency services do around the ACT.

Tuesday 23 April - The Dreaming at National Museum of Australia (Excursion)

Get hands-on with history at the National Museum of Australia. This learning journey explores Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stories, people and continuing cultures. Children will be provided with Dreaming Bags that include objects and activities for exploring the museum.

Wednesday 24 April - Bricks for Kids Creative (Incursion)

Join us for a creative incursion with Bricks 4 Kidz to build using LEGO® Bricks.

Learn about working in teams, expanding our imagination and self-expression

in a relaxed environment. Children will have fun while boosting fine motor skills, problem solving, critical thinking and communicating with their building buddies!

Friday 26 April - Dinosaur Museum Special Tour (Excursion)

A trip to the Dinosaur Museum gives our explorers a fun and educational

pre-historic journey. We will have an interactive tour of the Dinosaur Museum, explore through the different ages and finish with casting real fossils! There will also be exploratory play at the Dinosaur Garden to meet Stan the Giant T-Rex.
