The Baringa Preschool Vacation Care Program has been especially designed for your curious and active preschooler. Experience an engaging, play-based experience with qualified educators specialising in early childhood education.
The program is for 4-5 year olds who -
- Attend Baringa, and we're opening spots if you'd like to come for additional days over the school holidays!
- Attend another preschool and would enjoy an engaging, play-based educational experience - we'd love to welcome you to the Baringa family!
- Open 7.30am - 6.00pm
- Single and multiple day bookings available
- Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea supplied
- No additional costs for excursions
- Child Care Subsidy eligible
- No deposit required

Monday 8 July- Limelight Cinemas-Toy Story 4 (Excursion)
Join us for an exciting bus ride to Limelight Cinemas in Tuggeranong, to view the latest instalment of Toy Story 4! Children will be having morning tea in the play space before the movie begins, followed by water and popcorn combos for the duration of the screening.
Tuesday 9 July- Bunnings Activity and Picnic Lunch (Excursion)
Our friends at Bunnings will be providing us with an interactive building activity in a DIY setting. Children will have the opportunity to get the full hands-on experience provided by the trained staff and bring their masterpieces home with them. Lunch will be provided in a picnic setting in an outdoor gardening space.
Wednesday 10 July- Dancing Lessons (Incursion)
The Dance Development Company in Spence has designed a program that introduces the pre-schoolers to jazz and contemporary dance through imagination and creative movement. The children will attend two, half-hour dances classes that teach essential skills in mind-body connection through physical movement, drama and self-expression.
Thursday 11 July- ArtKids Canberra (Incursion)
The ArtKids workshop will be focusing on building children's drawing and observational skills in a fun, supportive, confidence-building environment. Pre-schoolers will be taken on a local exploration walk and investigate drawing and painting tools using naturally-found materials. Children will explore oil-crayon resist painting techniques with watercolour to create a winter scene. They'll also explore the printing process using leaves and wet-on-wet watercolour techniques to blend colours.
Friday 12 July- Pallet Play (Incursion)
The local team from Pallet Play will be helping us build our very own climbing fort! Using reclaimed and recycled materials, the children will be able to challenge their abilities in using tools to create a unique piece of climbing equipment for the Centre.
Monday 15 July- WordPlay at the National Library (Excursion)
The children will be discovering a range of activity stations at the National library's WordPlay. The interactive space allows children to explore language through reading, writing and illustration. This will be followed by a picnic on the grounds surrounding the library.
Tuesday 16 July- PlayUP at the Museum of Australian Democracy (Excursion)
PlayUP has a range of exciting and immersive experiences that celebrates the role of children in our community. Pre-schoolers will be able to engage in the rights and responsibilities of children through imagination, discovery, role-play and fun.
Wednesday 17 July- Brick 4 Kids (Incursion)
Bricks 4 kids are back! After the roaring success of our April Program, Mary and the team will be coming to Baringa for the children to participate and create within the fantastic world of Lego. BRICKS 4 KIDZ is an Educational Play program designed to provide an extraordinary atmosphere for students to build unique creations and have loads of fun using LEGO® Bricks!
Thursday 18 July- Gardening with Sheila (Incursion)
Our resident gardening horticulturalist Sheila will be facilitating an activity with the children and assisting them in creating their very own Terrarium. This hands-on experience will allow the children to explore their green thumbs in fun filled environment.
Friday 19 July- Mini Minties program at the Royal Australia Mint (Excursion)
Children will have the opportunity to participate in the Mini Minties program at the Royal Australian Mint, with the theme of Australian animals. Activities will range from craft, drawing, story time, discovering the museum and factory viewing area, coin pressing and more!
